E-mail Viruses, and the retards who help spread them
I guess you can call me an elitest pig when it comes to computers.  No, I don't know the specs of the most UBER MASHINEZ out there... but I know some goddamn BASICS of the internet.  Viruses, and understanding them and how they were, are a part of those goddamn basics of the internet.

There's been 5 threads created in the Wulfram II forums in a week, and I imagine they'll continue.  Some poor AOL kiddie has an infected computer and the worm is spreading itself without the AOL kid's knowledge or consent.  The virus or worm is also spoofing e-mail addresses, as nearly ALL MODERN DAY VIRUSES DO, to sucker idiots into opening the goddamn attachments and infecting themselves.

Said idiots will open attachments without even thinking of them, instead relying on programs do to it for them.  For example...

Hey, I just got a file named "happytimes.doc.exe".... I THINK I'LL FUCKING OPEN IT!!!  Hmmm, amazing!  Norton says it's a virus!!!   OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111111111

How many times do you idiots have to be told?  DON'T OPEN ATTACHMENTS UNLESS YOU EXPECT THEM.  ALWAYS LOOK AT THE FILE THAT HAS BEEN SENT TO YOU. THE E-MAIL ADDRESS IT SEEMS TO BE COMING FROM PROBABLY DIDN'T SEND IT.

Seeing a message like "Thank god for Norton Antivirus, I just got an e-mail from Exoshear" drives me insane, when in the same damn thread (and all the others) I've repeatedly said they were coming from some guy with AOL, not the MODs/Slurpy/Exoshear/Ghandi.  MORONS.  IDIOTS.

So, you know what, we DON'T need to know you got a fucking e-mail from micah@wulfram.com that has a virus.  IT DIDN'T COME FROM HIM, SO USE YOUR GODDAMN BRAIN AND MAYBE READ THE FORUM YOU DECIDED TO BLESS WITH YOUR IDIOCY.

Whew.

Updated:  I'm also going to add a bit about retarded sysadmins who have their mail servers set up to automatically bounce virus-infected e-mails back to the "from" e-mail address.  These complete and utter morons only help make a virus cause twice as many problems by generating twice the traffic.
